We Reminisce Over You – June 23rd 2010
On Wednesday, June 23rd, the Los Angeles community will gather to celebrate the lives of Los Angeles Radio/Club DJ (DJ Hideo) and Legendary MC (Guru), one half of the legendary hip-hop group Gangstarr in Downtown Los Angeles. The link between these two respected men is that they both passed away from cancer related illnesses earlier this year. In addition to celebrating their musical contributions and positive affect on the lives of many, this event will also increase awareness and support for those who are currently battling severe health related illnesses.
The event will feature special guests appearances and DJ sets by DJ Revolution (Wake Up Show), Mr. Choc (Beat Junkies), DJ Crazy Toones (Ice Cube and WC and
DJ Icy Ice (Beat Junkies/TurntableU.com).
This event is open to the public. There is no mandatory cost to attend the event, but voluntary donations will be accepted at the door. Proceeds from the event will be used to establish a scholarship trust fund for his daughter.

Blue Party – March 22nd 2009
Local DJ’s, DJ Hideo, DJ Tony Jr., DJ Alex Merrell, DJ Roundhouse and DJ Frank (Power 106) will be spinning throughout the night, in celebration of UNICEF’s groundbreaking work around the world to save the lives of children and will seek to raise awareness and funds to support UNICEF water and sanitation programs. All tickets are general admission of $10, with proceeds benefiting UNICEF.
The Los Angeles Tap Project (LA Tap) is hosting “Blue Party” at Bardot/Avalon, located in Hollywood, on Sunday March 22, 2009, 9:00pm to 2:00am. In the spirit of the Tap Project, the “Blue Party” will unify its patrons by inviting them to wear blue in support of the nationwide UNICEF campaign to provide clean water to children around the world. The event will serve as the launch party for the Los Angeles Tap Project, and will kick-off World Water Week (March 22-28, 2009).
